Horned Race – Character Head Concepts

Personal worldbuilding project exploring a horned humanoid race.
These are early head concepts showcasing cultural traits and anatomical features. Males often engage in ritualistic headbutting, and due to the horn structure, injuries frequently happen when horns slip and strike the face — especially the forehead, which is the most protruding area. Over time, these repeated impacts leave visible scars. A heavily scarred forehead is regarded as a mark of aggression and toughness within their culture.
Both sexes have horns, though female horns tend to be smaller and less massive. Females usually style their hair to cover the base of the horns, as this area is considered unattractive.
To support the weight of the horns and absorb the shock of impacts, the race evolved with strong, muscular necks. Their ears are mobile and resemble those of a ram, adding expressive potential, and their pupils are vertically slit, further emphasizing their animalistic features.
